AngularJS: Get Started Video Course

Monday, June 9, 2014

AnguarJS: Get Started is now available to Pluralsight subscribers.

This video course is a small but focused subset of my full Angular class. The course assumes you know a bit about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but want to start from the beginning and learn about the core pieces of Angular, like how to work with controllers, services, and directives.

In the video we’ll build a “GitHub Viewer” application to search GitHub users and repositories.

AngularJS and GutHub

I hope you like it!

I can really say this is the best introductory video to angularjs. Very very very good for beginners. Finally learnt angularjs after several failed attempts watching other videos on pluralsight on Angularjs.

Wow. Its impossible to overstate how well designed the Getting Started videos are - great examples covering an excellent range and no footling around with any stray yaks. I don't think I've ever spent a better (just under) 3h learning anything ever. (I watched 1.8 speed). (I selected it from the complete set of PS offerings earlier today based on reading the blurbs before reading this post) I am however wondering what my next one should be :)

@Ruben_Bartelink - I suggest doing a pluralsight.com search for "John Papa" for his building apps with Angular and Breeze.

Scott, your teaching style and tactics are unmatched. You're explanation of the revealing model and IIFE in the context of Angular really solidified my understanding. Your use of the Github API immensely simplifies the explanation of many Angular concepts. You have a very unique way of explaining topics that is fascinating, interesting and eye opening. Thank you! I can't wait for your next Angular course.

Perfect! You were born to teach. Slow and thorough but never boring, eloquently spoken. Thank you!

It took watching a few of the modules twice but I think I've got the hang of this now. Thanks, you did a great job explaining.
