MVP Award

It was an honor to be nominated; it's even a bigger honor to receive a formal announcement congratulating me for an MVP award. Being in company the likes of Scott Mitchell, Scott Watermasysk, Scott Hanselman, and Scott Cate is doing pretty well – and that’s just the Scott list.

Congrats from a never-will-be, you deserve the recognition, as do all the MVPs :) I don't have the time or the effort, or probably the knowledge for that matter, to get that kind of recognition. Its a reflection of your hard work and dedication to the developer community.

Congrats Scott! Since MVP's are usually in catagories like MVP for Excel or MVP for remoting. What Catagory did you get your MVP in?

If I had to guess on the type of MVP it would be ASP/ASP.NET. That is the common link between all of the Scott's mentioned. You wouldn't know it from reading his blog since it talks more about SQL Server than ASP but he could be using SQL Server as the backend for a lot of ASP stuff. I could be wrong but I like guessing about stuff of no relevance like the title (as it'll be officially displayed somewhere on his site eventually).

<br>Congrats though Scott. I've not seen your work but from what I hear you're a beast on newsgroups and helping people out. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, all.

<br>Jeremy is right, I'm in the ASP.NET category. For most of my career I was content to let other people take care of my SQL problems, but when I joined my current company I realized I had to either shed my fear of SQL Server or have things suck. I guess my blog tends to be a little SQL heavy then because I learn so much about the topic everday.
